As the years go by DVD authoring becomes less import as more people are using their phones and websites to watch their videos. For those who are still writing DVDs they can be very easy, but you should follow a few rules to make sure that your DVDs can be read on any player. Buy name brand discs and keep the write speed set to a slower speed. I never exceed x8. The DVD writer may not be able to write to all the various discs available. You can update the firmware of the writer to help resolve that problem, but that can be a bit of a risk. It is better to stick to the name brands. I have have had 8 glass masters created and never had a problem. There is no need to be in a hurry writing the disc!
