Cleveland Browns Stadium by Harold Brown

Cleveland Browns Stadium
Here are a few pictures I took of the Cleveland Browns Stadium. The stadium opened in August of 1999. The first picture was taken in 2009 from the Goodtime III and gives a nice water front view of the stadium. It is one of my favorite pictures and provides a bit of an edge to the stadium. It is a great view from the deck of the ship. The other 3 pictures were taken on 10/10/10 when the stadium was almost completely empty (taken with my iPhone).

Gervasi Vineyard 360 Degree by Harold Brown

My wife and I enjoy going to our local winery during the summer months, and having our lunch or dinner outdoors on the Piazza. What a great way to enjoy our summer dining experience. Not long ago I used the Photosynth app on my iPhone to capture a 360 degree view of the Piazza and lake. The picture isn't perfect, but I was trying to avoid capturing people as they moved about and around me while I was taking the picture. The result isn't bad and it gives you a better perspective of the Piazza. If you know anything about me via my posts you know I like to have an establishing shot and GEO location as well. Photosynth is a great way for my readers to see the winery and get that establishing shot.

Enjoy a few more pictures or visit our Gervasi Gallery to see all of the pictures we have taken at Gervasi Vineyard. You can also see our photos on Google Earth.

Boating on Lake Mohawk, Malvern Ohio by Harold Brown

This summer has been a hot one! A week of 90 plus degrees and we were ready to do some boating on Lake Mohawk in Malvern, Ohio. Our friend John invited us down for a cookout, and then a ride around the lake. Nothing more relaxing than being on the water. I took my Nikon D90 DSLR camera along and took a few pictures.

Late Evening View of Navsari by Harold Brown

Sun setting on Navsari, Gujarat, India

Part of my travel to India included a trip to Gujarat. I flew from Hyderabad to Mumbai and then took a 7 hour cab ride to Navsari, Gujarat, India. My wife had made the same cab ride a few days before me to meet her sister and other family members. After being introduced to "new" family members and having an enjoyable meal and conversation, I went for a walk taking a looking around the area. I eventually made my way to the roof of the flat we were staying in, and got this photo of the evening sky and cityscape. Navsari has a 2,000 year history and has been know by many names over the centuries. Cities with long histories are always the most enjoyable to visit.

Gujarati is the main language spoken in Navsari. The language my wife uses to speak with her sister and family from time to time. They jump inbetween English and Gujarati quite a bit. Sometimes I think I am understanding Gujarati until I realize they jumped to English! Smile

São Paulo, Brazil Cityscape by Harold Brown

São Paulo, Brazil

São Paulo, Brazil is a city of almost 11 million people with over 20 million in the metro area. That makes it the world's 7th largest city. I took this picture from the Blue Tree Towers roof on Faria Lima on February 20, 2011 with a Kodak Easyshare Z1485 IS camera using the panorama feature. Of course it took a little work to bring out the details of the picture once I had it loaded to my computer.

View from the Char Minar - Hyderabad, India by Harold Brown

Hyderabad, India

Charminar was built in 1591 AD, and is a landmark monument located at the center of old Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is considered as the legendary masterpiece of Qutub Shahi's. This picture was taken from the top of Charminar. The top is a much better place to be. Down at ground level the chaos, smell and aggressiveness of the people was quite a shock to the system. There were people grabbing at us wanting money and hundreds of people selling their wares. This was a very busy place long ago.

Today the market around the Charminar is crowded with shops and known as the place to go for bangles.
