These resilient little birds, with their striking yellow patches and streaked backs, thrive across North America. Known for their adaptability, they can switch from insects to berries in winter, making them one of the few warblers that don’t migrate south. Listen for their cheerful 'chip' calls in forests and backyards alike!

Fun fact: their population is stable, even thriving, with estimates in the tens of millions, thanks to their resourcefulness. If you’re near a forest or have a feeder with suet or fruit, keep an eye out—you might catch their yellow flash!
